There's a special character missing from the font used in OS which is needed in the UI localization for Scots Gaelic (gd). We use a different character instead of & but it currently comes up as a grey box.
The character is at Unicode point 204a - the so-called Tironian Ampersand. Looks a bit like a lowercased 7.
I'm attaching a screenshot - contrasting English &c with Gaelic ⁊c on Windows 8 using the Windows 8 system font Segoe UI Symbol.
This is an old bug but we're still seeing it today. Flagging Patryk to see if he (or someone else) can fix this?
