User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; MSIE 9.0; Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; Trident/5.0; SLCC2; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 3.0.30729; Media Center PC 6.0; .NET4.0C; .NET4.0E; InfoPath.2) Steps to reproduce: I believe this problem started in ESR 24.0, as we're using 24.2, and it does not work. We have an application that indexes text. As part of the indexing, it highlights text to create draggable objects. Let's call them bubbles, because that's what they look like. These bubbles can be dragged and dropped in another area of the application to form various associations. In documents with only a few of these bubbles, the drag and drop function works fine, but when there are too many bubbles, drag and drop does not work anymore. All dragging does is selects the text within the bubble. I am trying to find out exactly what the bubbles are. They appear to just be text with a surrounding oval. Expected results: It worked fine in ESR 17.

Could you please try the following : 1) try this with a clean profile: http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles 2) running in Safe mode: http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode
Component: Untriaged → Drag and Drop
Product: Firefox → Core

When I try to start in safe mode, all I get is this dialog box.

Starting with a clean profile does not seem to change anything, nor does starting in safe mode. I can't even really start in safe mode, as all I get is a very small dialog box where I cannot see any of the buttons (I've attached a snapshot). Interestingly, I did try playing with the indexing of our application. Some of the entities near the beginning of the document were draggable, but later on in the document, the entities were not. I don't know if that helps point to the source of the problem.
