CCK build 2001-08-10-15 works fine with uninstalling on Win2K. But all build after doesn't uninstall, so far the two builds are available since are 2001-08-27-13 & 2001-09-04-12.

Reassigning to Kyle. Pls. verify so that the build script includes the file UNINSTALL.EXE. This file must be present within NETSCAPECCKUNINSTALL.EXE.

Shruti in your previous comment you state the file uninstall.exe must be included in the cck installer file. Don't you mean the file N6uninst.exe needs to be in the cck uninstaller instead? This is the uninstaller that gets delivered with the daily NS6.x builds.

I meant: The UNINSTALL.EXE file within N6uninst.exe must be present in NETSCAPECCKUNINSTALL.EXE. The executable NETSCAPECCKUNINSTALL.EXE is missing the UNINSTALL.EXE file. We should not include the entire N6uninst.exe file in CCK uninstaller. We should only include UNINSTALL.EXE file of N6uninst.exe in CCK uninstaller.

The script was copying the file N6uninst.zip (which contains N6uninst.exe) and making the NETSCAPECCKUNINSTALL.EXE from that. I changed the script to unip the file first, so now NETSCAPECCKUNINSTALL.EXE is made from N6uninst.exe. Today's build has this change. WEIRD THING: this script was the same when we ran it to create a build that DOES uninstall ok, that build was 2001-08-10-15. I have no explanation for that. Now, according to Shruti's last comment, the uninstall.exe file needs to be used to make the NETSCAPECCKUNINSTALL.EXE file instead of the N6uninst.exe file. We have never built the unistaller this way so I need to meet with Shruti to go voer the script for the creation of the uninstaller. Please try de-installing today's build to see if the unistaller works or not.

If you changed the script to unzip the file first, it should work fine. No other changes will be necessary. I suppose the script will take care of overwriting the UNINSTALL.INI of N6Uninst.exe, etc. which is equivalent to including only the UNINSTALL.EXE.

Yes the script gets uninstall.ini from ns/cck/cckcd and puts this into NetscapeCCKUninstall.exe. Resolving fixed.
