With the new outliner widget beeing used in MailNews, the account names occupy only the space of the 'Name' column. If you have several accounts, you can end up with yourname@... yourname@... yourname@... so you're not able to tell which is which. I've seen no use for the 'Unread' and 'Total' columns in the account name row, so this shouldn't interfere with anything else. Using WinNT and Linux builds 2001090408.
If the accounts "snap into place" again by resizing the pane, this is a dup of bug 95468.
No, I've resized the columns. But the account name line uses only the width of the 'name' column, it would be better readable if it occupied all three columns.

Build 2001-09-06-05-0.9.4: Linux RH 7.1 If the Unread and Total columns are not needed then removing them should expand the width of the Name column. You could also resize the folder pane to be wider then these settings should be saved. Atleast this is how it's working for me on windows and linux.
Sorry, my english doesn't seem to make things clear enough. Let's 'paint' it: Now we have something like this: Name Unread Total you@b... <-- unused space Inbox 3 205 Drafts 2 . . I would like to have something like this: Name Unread Total you@blamailbox.co.any <-- all available space used Inbox 3 205 Drafts 2 . .
I've had a look at how XUL works but I couldn't find a way to span a line across several columns using the outliner.
