Dogfooding question - I had AT&T replace my iPhone SIM card. When other's reply to my SMS text, I don't get them on my Alcatel One Touch. Works: * I can receive calls * I can make calls and they see my # * I can send SMS Broken: * I receive SMS on my Wi-Fi connected sim-less iPhone. I've read https://wiki.mozilla.org/FirefoxOS/DogfoodingTips any other tips? Settings > Cell Data > Message settings has Cingular values (instead of AT&T), is that what I should try next? I had the AT&T store issue me a new SIM when I switch to the Alcatel.

You very likely receive the message on your wifi sim-les iPhone because it's going through iMessage, not using a real SMS, Nothing we can do there.

Hey Chris, Hermina, Do you think this is worth mentioning in MDN and/or SuMo ?

Yes, I do — I've mentioned it on the phone troubleshooting page, here: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Firefox_OS/Troubleshooting#Failure_to_receive_SMS_after_switching_over_from_iPhone
Flags: needinfo?(cmills)
Yes, I'll ask this info to be added under the Fix problems section. Thanks for sharing!

I called Apple support, got into technical support and asked them to "log me out of the iMessage server", which is what I found as the suggested solution. The service rep didn't do this and offered two solutions, neither of which worked for me 1) Clear all devices from https://supportprofile.apple.com/ 2) Ask each person who is trying to send me an SMS from iPhone to delete our previous conversations. #2 I deleted our 1:1 conversations from my wife's phone. This didn't fix it. I left group conversation which I was part of, maybe that isn't following their advice 100%, but it's too invasive a fix. So no luck so far, I still don't get SMS from iPhone users.
