Setup: Dell 27" 2560x1440 (B), MBP Pro Retina (B) * have fx window on (A) * make fx window wider then the screen (move outside and increase width to cover screen) * move fx window to (B) Result: tiny unusable buttons, see attachment. Not happening with other windows i tested. Not happening with smaller windows (e.g. 1/3 screen width, haven't run down the exact ranges)
Does this just effect the buttons in the titlebar? Does it also effect the fullscreen toggle (in the upper right)?
The fullscreen toggle is actually just gone.
This issue is now in Firefox Mac 29.01. I had no issues with 28, but it is now useless when moving from my Apple Thunderbolt display to Macbook Pro Retina display. The close, minimise, maximise etc buttons shrink and are unusable. Have downgraded back to 28 for now
Georg, I see something different (and much worse) when I follow your STR from comment #0. I also see both with Australis (as in FF 29) and without (as in FF 28). When I move to the Retina screen, the entire window is displayed incorrectly: The entire window is redrawn at 1/2 width and height in the upper left corner, and the other three quarters of the window aren't redrawn at all.
(Following up comment #4) Ah, but that was on OS X 10.7.5. I do see what you report on OS X 10.9.2.
Summary: [hidpi] Tiny, unusable -moz-window-button-box when moving bigger window to hidpi screen → [hidpi] Tiny, unusable -moz-window-button-box when moving bigger window to hidpi screen on OS X 10.9
I quickly checked to make sure - i still can reproduce comment 0 on Nightly & OS X 10.9.2.

Can you reproduce this with latest Nightly?

I haven't noticed this recently, but i don't know how to explicitly reproduce this. Happy to update here if it comes up again.

I saw this bug disappear after the last over-the-year update of Thunderbird. So good going Moz! Old version: ? New Version: 45.1.0
Sounds like we can resolve WFM and reopen if it comes back.
