* Now that the new events module is shipping, would be great to start thinking about next steps for that page
* One of these should be considering the *storytelling* value of all the great events Webmaker community run. The platform is more than a database -- it contains a million fascinating stories from around the world.
* See for example, this recent event story from India:

* We need a simple way to surface these stories on /events. (Plus a process and workflow for adding / managing them, making it easy for community to add, etc.)

* All that's really required is:
** a) a great event photo,
** b) where it was taken,
c) a link to read more (linking through to any arbitrary third-party URL, and
d) (optional) a headline or quote.
* The community slideshow we have on the front page of webmaker.org right now is a great potential model to follow. It may not belong on the front page -- but a tweaked version of it could be ideal for /events
