User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux i686; rv:27.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/27.0 (Beta/Release) Build ID: 20140218140338 Steps to reproduce: Unfortunatelly I can't reproduce it. From time to time (many times a day) it will silently close even while I'm working on other apps. Running Thunderbird 24.3.0 on Xubuntu 12.04 32. Actual results: I launched Thunderbird from a terminal console and after some time I found it was not running any more and got the follwing messages: Fault in cycle collector: traversed refs exceed refcount (ptr: 0x82f83970) ###!!! ABORT: cycle collector fault: file /build/buildd/thunderbird-24.3.0+build2/mozilla/xpcom/base/nsCycleCollector.cpp, line 1238 ###!!! ABORT: cycle collector fault: file /build/buildd/thunderbird-24.3.0+build2/mozilla/xpcom/base/nsCycleCollector.cpp, line 1238 Segmentation fault Expected results: Should keep running :)
A different message I got a few minutes ago: out of memory: 0x0000000000000020 bytes requested Segmentation fault It's weird as I have plenty of memory and no memory issues with the OS or the rest of the apps.
Hmm, doesn't Xubuntu have Apport to automatically send crash information to a ticket in Launchpad.net?
I'm sorry, this is a somehow stripped down Xubuntu installation and Apport is not curenlty installed. I'll go with the Apport/Launchpad way. Thank you!

Hi Wayne, Thank you for your concern. I guess the URL you're requesting is for the "stripped down Xubuntu". If it is, please notice this is an installation form official Xubuntu repos but cherry picked every package (not using xubuntu-desktop package). I'm currently on 14.04 LTS packages and TB 31.4.0. Haven't seen this issue any more. Thank you again for your support. Cheers!
