+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #985072 +++

From Qualcomm's testing:

Issue: When you change camera to front with self-timer enabled, it counts down and attempts to take picture.  Then displays “picture not saved.  An error prevented Camera from saving the picture”.

Device: QRD 8x26/8x28 
Build: Tip of Camera-New-Features and mozilla-central on 3/17

Tested this on latest build on QRD; when we switch to front facing camera, the camera app freezes and needs force close; cannot verify the self-timer.

Inder, there was a recent problem with switching to the front camera, but it was fixed in bug 996513. Can you confirm whether or not Sameer's test build has this patch applied?

Mike, Sameer's build didn't have the fix for bug 996513. He just verified on the latest build that the front camera freeze issue is gone. He will now verify the original issue in description and update here.

Sameer is not able to reproduce this issue anymore on the latest build.
