From Qualcomm's testing:

Issue: Turn on HDR, Grid and Self timer, camera goes to autofocus mode but doesn’t take picture. Reproducible 3/5. (Same issue with only Grid or HDR turned on along with Self timer)

Device: QRD 8x26/8x28 
Build: Tip of Camera-New-Features and mozilla-central on 3/17

We are not able to reproduce this issue with Nexus 4 device.
As I heard from Wayne, you have a QRD and you can help us to reproduce it. 

Please let us know exact STR and captured video of issue.

Preview issue on QRD was already fixed by Bug-983705. Please apply it.

I thinsk that Bug-985602 may fix this issue. But we can't test it because it's not reproduced on Nexus4 device. I will request Leyla to check Bug-985602 patch.

I tried v1.4 and v1.5 gecko on QRD but the camera preview is still black like a wallpaper with icons on it, not resized. It might need a proper version of gecko or patch to fix that.

Eric/Leyla: Please check and see if the patch for Bug 985077 fixes this issue. I might be wrong, but this sounds like it may be a duplicate of 985077.

And currently checking with qc, they have the same camera no preview issue using the same build that we are using.

Leyla - the original issue is not reproducible by Youngjun/Ashish - but have fixed a related one here: 985602
