As a user, I want the symbol page to not show the IME switch key in order to maximize the amount of symbols available in the page.

Acceptance:
Symbol page UI follows visual layout

Refer to p.10 of UX spec in bug 983043

Hi Bruce, Omega,

Since the UX spec update (v1.8) requires we keep the IME switching key on the symbol page.
Could you confirm this spec change and so we could close this bug?

Thanks.

Closing due to spec update, IME switch now follows the same behavior in symbol UI as regular character input.
