On several occasions, the word "performance" is translated to "performanz", which isn't really a German counterpart. We could try "Effizienz" or so? Axel suggested adding the link, I'm also putting into the URL field of this bug.

I'm not sure if Kadir or Sebastian brought that in, I never liked it too much but didn't have a really good idea for a better translation. Maybe this is something to discuss on the upcoming localization sprint weekend?

Maybe it didn't used to be a German counterpart, but I'd argue that it's very much used like that today, see [1]. I'd suggest we aim for ease of understanding instead of language purity. If there is something that conveys the meaning of performance better than Performanz than let's use that. And as far as I can tell from the Transvision link, we are doing that already, there is no uniform translation of that word in all cases. [1]: http://www.duden.de/rechtschreibung/Performanz

According to bug 719192 comment 6, Kadir brought "Performanz" to the German localization. Like suggested in that comment, I propose "Leistungsdaten" as alternative translation. "Effizienz" implies wasted resources to me.
It's not clear that the bug has been resolved (no information on localization or code updates in this bug) reopening. Frederik Braun, is `performance` still mistranslated in the German localizations?

I'd argue that "Leistung" is the better word. Reading an english/german translation forum, it seems this is somewhat contentious. <http://dict.leo.org/forum/viewWrongentry.php?idThread=44776&idForum=3&lang=de&lp=ende>

For what it's worth, Microsoft seems to be using consistently "Leistung" https://www.microsoft.com/de-de/language/Search?&searchTerm=performance&langID=Deutsch&Source=true&productid=Alle%20Produkte
