986698 - [Tarako] When resetting the phone the recovery log does not appear

Description

[Naoki Hirata :nhirata (please use needinfo instead of cc)]

1. go to settings -> device info -> more info -> reset phone
2. reboot the phone
3. using adb, adb shell then cd /cache/recovery/

Expected: log file
Actual: no log file

Note: I think this is a vendcom issue?  We should capture a log file so that we can tell if an update/recovery failed and why...

At out last version, there are log files in /cache/recovery folder.
root@android:/cache/recovery # ll
-rw-r--r-- root     root            0 2012-01-01 01:55 last_install

-rw------- system   system       3863 2012-01-01 01:55 log
root@android:/cache/recovery # 0)~/ffos-monkey-test/B2G/monkey.test$ adb shell
root@android:/ # cd cache/recovery/                                            
root@android:/cache/recovery # ll
-rw-r--r-- root     root            0 2012-01-05 23:56 last_install
-rw-r----- root     root         3863 2012-01-05 23:56 last_log

The upper is the file list before reset phone, and the under is the file list after reset.
We fix recovery bug(Bug 984623) at 2014.03.21. Can test this case on recent version?

Verified.  Log files are generated when resetting the phone (had the time stamp of when the reset was done).
