1. Load the page.
2. Scroll it down with PgDn
3. You will see the bars around the newses appearing.
4. Scrolling back is OK, so the are paint only when they first appearing.

Are you saying that pictures on this site only appear after you scroll down with
PgDn?

I see nothing new appearing when I scroll on this page, and the page looks
generally just fine. WORKSFORME with 2001-09-07-21 on Linux.

No, the page is displayed fine, but when I scroll it down the pics appearing
very slow, as they are loaded from the net again.

I also see this with K-Meleon 0.5, but there it is a little bit faster.

Win 2k build pulled from last night's trunk.  I can not reproduce this at all.  I don't know if it's because I'm running a 1.31 ghz Duron, or cause of cable, or what.  I see nothing at all out of the ordinary with the page, and is not slow or sluggish at all...

I take all that back.  I just tried again doing shift + reload, and I see the issue described.  In and of itself, the images not being painted immediately isn't that odd, but I see multiple GET requests in Proxomitron's log window for the same picture, the border.  I'll be honest, I've never built a web browser before, nor do I understand most of the code involved with it, but shouldn't Mozilla be downloading the picture once and reusing it in this case, rather than redownloading it like 40 times?
