Can these databases be archived and dropped from the metrics production MySQL server? they haven't been written to in over 6 months...

These can be dropped. We don't have any ETL using them. They where part of the staging environment for Pentaho but that's not active anymore.

I have archived and dropped those 2 databases (metrics_stage was 29G!)

Does that mean the other ones are in use? (if so I'd like to pick your brain about them).

tmary - are we using mango-perl and mango-perl-test as mysql metastore for HIVE? IIUC, we moved everything to peach and these are no longer in use. Can you confirm?

Please go ahead and delete them (given that all such DBs are exported / backed up before being deleted, it should be possible to recover from any unexpected uses/failures)
