Details
I would like to request a new bugzilla keyword. "iexp", which would mean,
"Internet Explorer Parity bugs. A bug is a Internet Explorer Parity bug if it
occurs on Mozilla builds, but does not occur using the latest release of
Internet Explorer."
I see no reason why Mozilla shouldn't have to live up to Internet Explorer as
well as Netscape 4.x. The addition of this keyword would help people determine
which bugs need to be addressed in order to achieve the same level of usability
and satisfaction as the current leading browser.
This keyword would in no way validate bugs like "Implement document.all" anymore
than having a 4xp keyword validates a bug like "Implement Layers".
I'd much prefer a tracker bug. Create one for each of the following products:
OMNIWeb4.x Opera iCab
Nav2/3 Amaya Lynx NetPositive W3M Konqueror Galeon Voyager
PenZilla <- this is a mozilla derivative that makes images of pages when you
create bookmarks -- that alone is very nifty.
HotJava IceBrowser
MSIE1-3 MSIE4 MSIE5-win MSIE5.5 MSIE5-mac MSIE6
PalmScape, Nokia WAP, KBrowser <- this supports WAP afaik we don't -- palm
parity ;-)
MSNExplorer <- must emulate ugly wrapper
NeoPlanet <- general themingsWebTV
