Steps to reproduce:

Submenus Autodetect and More Encodings (from View menu) don't show options. The former doesn't show the on/off switch, and the latter, is select his submenus West European, etc., doesn't show any list. The fix is to add encodings from Customize list...

Have you tried with a new, clean Profile?
Otherwise, is this Mac specific?
