User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:28.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/28.0 (Beta/Release)
Build ID: 20140314220517
Steps to reproduce:
By downloading any file (pdf, jpg, ppt, etc) the download window appears and "save the decision for this type of file" option is enabled. But when the file type is XML or TXT this option is disabled. Attempt: In about: config, I changed "browser.helperApps.neverAsk.saveToDisk" to "text / plain" but even so the window appears and with it disabled. How do I store the automatic download to TXT or XML files?
Actual results:
When you download a TXT opens the download window with the option to memorize disabled. This does not happen with other types of files.
Expected results:
I hope the option is enabled, and the next txt downloads, do automatic file download without opening the window asking to save. Same happens with other types of files.
Severity: normal → minor
Component: Untriaged → Downloads Panel
May because its Content-Type is 'application/octet-stream'.
Go to Options - Applications, find 'Text Files', modify it.
Or change 'browser.helperApps.neverAsk.saveToDisk' to 'application/octet-stream', but that would cause a lot of noise.
