Details

A checkbox that is added to a Web page using innerHTML will lose its state if 
the display of the checkbox or its parent is changed.
Duplicate of 'form controls with style="display: none;" unsuccessful in Mozilla'
by way of bug 57269 ("[FRMC]Form control state lost if style specifies display:
none").
