User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.2; rv:28.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/28.0 (Beta/Release) Build ID: 20140314220517 Steps to reproduce: Create a new filter to delete messages when my email isn't in the To field. Actual results: This isn't unfortunately a set & forget filter & could be an issue in the future, if users edit, remove, add personal email account ( s ). The actual possibility of t is to add our email account ( s ) to that filter, but once we decide to add another account or delete one account or have several accounts & get rid of some of them in the future, without modifying that filter that is too individual, since it addresses personal email account ( s ), the risk is to lose emails if our filter hasn't been updated, & to set & forget about that filter, an option to detect "our email account ( s ) by tb in the filter's field would fix the problem. Expected results: I'm proposing a filter improvement, a new function that can be also found in foxmail. "My email is in the To field" "Yes" "No". without having to edit that field anymore in the future in case of change of email or removal of another one.
I know mozilla development is very slow, but i'm crossing my fingers to have it in a future update ((
What is different here from bug 959474 ? (Apart this finally covering only one issue per bug as it should have been in 959474:))
sorry i had totally forgotten that, i start threads & since i never get an update or will from anybody to fix/implement, i forget about the fact i even asked it.. it's not easy to find either, i tried to see if the post already existed before posting it but my keywords didn't show up anything relevent. i even had forgotten you aceface :)) with comments like: "Also, that the feature should not be hard to implement does not mean I can do it (depends on which option is chosen). But it looks relatively easy, for somebody knowledgable enough about the filter code." cause you've always commented my posts in the past expecting clarifications without ever providing a fix or implementing any of my feature requests which is stranger if not "vain".. anyways, this thread here can be deleted then.
I can't fix everything :) But you can see my bug list here: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/buglist.cgi?list_id=9835192&columnlist=product%2Ccomponent%2Cbug_severity%2Cversion%2Cop_sys%2Cbug_status%2Cresolution%2Cshort_desc&emailtype1=exact&query_format=advanced&emailassigned_to1=1&email1=acelists%40atlas.sk These issues I have fixed or expect to fix in the future. In bugs where I can't fix it I just comment to have enough information in the bug so that the real fixer will have everything prepared for the real work.
