(Reporter: davian818+1, Unassigned)

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:28.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/28.0 (Beta/Release)
Build ID: 20140314220517

Steps to reproduce:

When I'm working with Text Areas on google groups site they fail to repaint very often with FF28.

Actual results:

The text lines appear invisible after some text is deleted, despite the caret being in correct position while traversing through them.
Urmas, are you talking about something like bug 838580?
Flags: needinfo?(davian818+1)
1. The steps to reproduce are vague.
2. No reply from reporter in 1 month and 17 days.
3. Bug 1007067 was fixed recently.
4. Firefox 28 is outdated.

Please re-test in the latest Nightly with a brand new profile. If the problem still occurs, provide the web page URL and the exact actions you're performing to reproduce the bug.

Still present in 29.0.1. Don't ask idiotic questions and fix your regressions.
Status: RESOLVED → UNCONFIRMED
Resolution: INCOMPLETE → ---
You haven't provided the requested details and you haven't answered the question at comment 1. This is still INCOMPLETE, and messing with the report status inappropriately isn't going to change that. Also, avoid being abusive in the future.

You haven't tested in the latest Nightly. You should ideally test with a brand new profile in the latest Nightly to avoid reporting bugs that are already fixed. For example, bug 1007067 that I mentioned was fixed in Firefox 30.

If the problem still occurs with a fresh profile in the latest Nightly, and you're sure it's a regression, a regression range would be helpful.
https://quality.mozilla.org/docs/bugzilla/guide-to-triaging-bugs-for-firefox/finding-a-regression-window/
It might be related to bug 1026425 (which has "steps to reproduce").
Or bug 1007067 which is fixed in Firefox 30.

Urmas, does updating to Firefox 30 fix the problem?
If not, does disabling spell checking (in the context menu) make
the problem go away?
Flags: needinfo?(davian818+1)
Problem persists in FF30, and turning off spellchecking still does not prevent invisible text.
