User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_9_2) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/34.0.1847.116 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce: Created a waterfall for http://www.comparethemarket.com using WebPagetest (http://www.webpagetest.org/result/140409_6Z_644d93604c98bec9e8d76d51e3f3f4f3/1/details/) Actual results: Favicon as specified using <link rel="shortcut icon" is the fifth request in the waterfall Expected results: As the favicon is probably the lowest priority resource on a page I'd expect it's load to be deferred until later so the connection can be used for higher priority content. As a comparison in the Chrome waterfall for the same page, the icon is request #33 (http://www.webpagetest.org/result/140409_81_f7bfda78d3ab912fc4db4b5f6b6ba72d/1/details/)
