Details

It's a bland orange/yellow reminiscent of butterscotch, or industrial school cabinetry from the 1970s.

I handed it to someone and asked without context to describe all the colors and the description of that one was "pale".

It appears washed out against the background color.

We should find something with a bit higher contrast with the background.
Dietrich, you probably know there is a Visual Refresh going on. The meta bug for Messages is bug 950175, you might want to check out the new visual design.

As this will make this issue obsolete, I'm just duping against it.
