Details

From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; WinNT4.0; en-US; rv:0.9.3) Gecko/20010801 BuildID: 2001080110 The memory size shouldn't be so big. Netscape 6.1 doesn't use nearly as much memory to display the same page as Mozilla does while running on a WinNT system Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Start up Mozilla on WinNT Actual Results: The memory size that the program uses is around 20 to 30k in size while Netscape 6.1 and IE5.5 are around 5 to 10k in size. Expected Results: Should find a way to reduce the memory size. Netscape 6.1 uses the same engine but use less memory while running.
Marking invalid. We have lots of "using too much memory" bugs. Unless you can point to a particular page on which memory usage jumps unreasonably or point to a particular part of the code that uses too much memory, there is nothing useful that can be done with this bug. Please read http://www.mozilla.org/quality/bug-writing-guidelines.html for some guidelines on reporting (and not reporting) bugs....
