User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:26.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/26.0 (Beta/Release) Build ID: 2013120700 Steps to reproduce: After heartbleed I tried to issue new safe passwords (ebay in this case). The password contained a mix of lower/uppercase/numbers ending in the sequence "&#". When using this password, I was unable to enter ebay with the auto-filled password ("wrong password or user name"). Entering the password manually worked. After changing the password to end in "§#", FF was able to enter the correct string. It seems, that some special characters (at least the "&") get mangled incorrectly between storage and autofilling the password field. Actual results: A password ending in "&#" is not autofilled correctly into the password field at https://signin.ebay.de A similar password ending in "§#" works correctly. Expected results: Any password string should be retrieved as entered. At least, "problematic" characters should be flagged and lead to an error message.
On another site (verbraucherzentrale.de) the very same password (with "&#") worked flawlessly. With PW-Manager. Thus, the problem seems to be specific for the ebay site. ... and probably not a valid bug - please feel free to close immediately.
