Details

Can only have one instance of mozilla open. Pressing ctrl-n doesn't open a new window neither does the file->new window, file->new->new window. Clicking the shortcut doesn't open another instance either.
Closing browser doesn't end mozilla process and prevents any other instance of mozilla from starting up.
at least parts of this was caused by bug 99453
