I have both Windows XP and Windows 8.1 with Seamonkey 2.25 with the same problem using Yahoo Mail, so it is not OS specific. I downgraded to various older Seamonkey releases (2.24, 2.16, 2.3) as well as upgraded to the latest 2.26 Beta and they all have the same problem with Yahoo Mail (as described by the original poster). I am certain that Yahoo Mail worked fine in the past with prior releases of Seamonkey, so the change seems to be with Yahoo Mail recently that made Seamonkey stop working for using Yahoo Mail. Meanwhile, Mozilla Firefox continues to work OK with Yahoo Mail so the problem is something specific to Seamonkey and not a problem with the Mozilla engine that both Seamonkey and Firefox share. PLEASE FIX THIS SOON. Without the ability to use something basic as Yahoo Mail, I will be forced to abandon SeaMonkey and adopt use of another browser.
Summary: I am having problems with SeaMonkey browser with Yahoo mail. It all of sudden will not access or load the email for Yahoo Mail. so I have to use Firefox or Flock instead. I am tired of using inconsistently working (or not working) software. → Problems with SeaMonkey browser with Yahoo mail: will not access or load email

Well I think the problem is with yahoo. So maybe this is not a Mozilla bug. so check compatibility with something Yahoo may have done or updated recently. I am using other browsers when accessing yahoo ... namely RockMelt and OmniWeb ... among others more reliable browsers and yahoo (Firefox, ...). Thank you for listening at least.
also I will note , when accessing Yahoo! mail with SeaMonkey, at times it will "time out" and there is a message "taking too long?" load basic mail so I do that and I can view emails in yahoo. Thank you once again.
Also note, Netscape Navigator browser works fine accessing yahoo email so that is an alternative and perhaps staying within the Mozilla family. Flock seemed to have some problems though.
so if this is a known problem if it is a duplicate, why are you too lazy (once again as with another issue last year) to fix it?
I mean if it is a known bug, then do something about it so people like don't have to discover these things and changes when the browser is no longer compatible with the yahoo mail. I mean it was working fine up until 2 weeks ago. I have stopped using SeaMonkey for yahoo mail and now use either Flock , Camino, Netscape or RocketMelt (on Mac). I have given up on SeaMonkey unless I get that message "taking too long?" "Load basic mail" and I can get SeaMonkey to work so stop monkeying around and fix something or talk to Yahoo.
