User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:31.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/31.0 (Beta/Release)
Build ID: 20140413030203

Steps to reproduce:

Open a Nighlty Firefox for Linux (Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:31.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/31.0).
Click on the bookmarks button on the top panel.

Actual results:

The bookmarks panel did not appear.

Expected results:

The bookmarks panel appears.
I figured out using developer tools, that if I set "opacity: 1" to the #BMB_bookmarksPopup element, the popup shows up.
Also did the same with the downloads menupopup and it helped too.

Some security related thing is, that it prevents to view the certificate information of the site or enable/disable flash player and so on.
On the screenshot you can see that the button is pressed, but no bookmarks displayed.
Another thing I noticed is, that the panel is there, but only invisible. If I click on a somewhere below the icon, where the panel supposed to be, a bookmark may will open.
In developer toolbar I can see that the element attributes are changing when I hover above them.
Please post Linux version/distribution, desktop manager/version which you use

Please also check if the issue occurs using Firefox in safe mode (with your addons disabled):
http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode

And on a new, empty profile:
http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Managing-profiles#w_starting-the-profile-manager
Same thing here. Happens with KDE and xmonad. I think it's the animation that is broken.
It there a way to disable it?

It happens both in safe mode and with empty profile.
