When I update firefox to version 28 it loads installs program, shortcuts etc but will not start, I have to remove it and reload an older version (18.1) which works ok. I am using vista S.P.2

Actual results: Firefox would not start, Task manager showed no open applications but I kept getting the message Firefox is already open, Expected results: normal update
Bill, thanks for taking the time to report this! Can you please update to latest version of Firefox (now Firefox 43) and let us know if you still have problems with Firefox. I successfully updated to Firefox 43, build ID 20160105164030, and Firefox works fine for me.
