I installed Nightly on my [infrequently-booted] Win8.1 install today, using the express installer from nightly.mozilla.org, and I noticed that its Desktop icon is low-res and pixellated, as compared to my Aurora and Firefox Release icons. This pixellation is visible in Alt-Tab as well, and it's even more visible on the executable in the program files folder, if you choose View | Large Icons -- that shows the Nightly icon as small, centered, & pixellated, whereas the Aurora & Firefox Release icons are large and crisp. See attached screenshot, comparing the "large icon" view.
