Jim, could you please try the following?
1. In the address bar of the Firefox browser, type "about:config" (without the quotes).
2. Just above the list of all the options there is a search bar. Please type "app.update.log" (without the quotes).
3. Double click on the app.update.log entry in the list below the search bar and make sure that the value now says 'true'.
4. In the search bar, remove "app.update.log" and type "devtools.errorconsole.enabled" (without the quotes).
5. Double click on the devtools.errorconsole.enabled entry in the list below the search bar and make sure that the value now says 'true'.
6. Please try to update again.
7. When the error occurs, at the top of your screen in the menu bar, go to Tools > Web Developer > Error Console.
8. Please copy and paste all the messages that start with "AUS" (without the quotes) and submit them in this bug.
Thanks!
