Point of bug: Get feedback and generate bugs for any blockers on moving forward w/ the subject of this bug.

Once that is done we can update the mozteach makes w/ the new templates from webmaker-kits

First of all, I LOVE the new layouts. They're just the droids we have been looking for. (I'm hilarious)

In other news, a few minor edits I'd love to see, now that I've worked with one in-depth to build this Activity https://keyboardkat.makes.org/thimble/LTU0ODUzNjMy/prototyping-with-a-teaching-kit-design-canvas :

* Would be great to get the functionality to edit the header image in the Activity template in the way that users can in the Teaching Kit template (ie https://mozilla.github.io/webmaker-kits/kit.html ). Not having this functionality was for me, at least, irritating ;)

* I'd also love to see some in-line images suggested in the template for both Activity and Kit. This will prompt folks to add their own step-by-step images to make kits more engaging. Happy to create some stock images of in-progress work for you to use, if useful.

* Lastly, would be great to have a "resources" section suggested at top righthand side of Activity kit, as I've manually done for the Design Canvas here: https://keyboardkat.makes.org/thimble/LTU0ODUzNjMy/prototyping-with-a-teaching-kit-design-canvas We want to prompt creators to have additional resources to share, or images, or a video, in this section. (Also, as it only has two divs currently, adding a third wouldn't make things too much more complicated).

Hope these make sense, let me know if not. Such awesome work. :)
Hey Fuzzy, just checking in here re: status and feedback on these new kit designs?

Hey Kat, sorry for the delayed response. Long weekend + busy start in the office to this week = still catching things falling through the cracks of my inbox.

I don't think the things listed above should be hard blockers on the new kits moving to @mozteach, however definitely something we should get into them very soon on a fast follow. The best course of action I think is to soft launch the new kits, and make these suggest updates, then announce w/ detailed blog post, some good docs, and tutorials. Thoughts?

I've gone into a little more detail below on your points from comment #1.

So for the headers I think we should make it clear w/ a tutorial or similar, how to customize the header image. Its some v. simple CSS, however depending on the size of the image, and how you want to use it, depends on what's baked into the main styles. I'd rather keep this change out of the main styles just so that it allows greater/easier flexibility. For reference here is all the CSS you'd need to have a similar header image: https://pastebin.mozilla.org/4932351

I personally don't want to tie people into only having huge cover images... a tiled background like in the template for activities right now can also be used to great affect imo.

This is a pretty simple change to make, that wont affect the CSS. Some image suggestions would be great to get, and I think its a great idea. Though how would this affect the rest of the default content in the templates? Do we need to update the copy on the templates?

This is another prompt that I think could be best served being in the tutorials once they're created. Creating a block like the one you've used there is a pretty simple task, additionally not all kits/activities are going to have these additional resources like this.

Next steps:

* We should file each of these three items as bugs, and if any of them should actually block this, then we need to mark them as such.
* I'm hoping to push these out by end of day Sunday (27th Apr) so that we have them live for all hands.

Hmm... seems that someone has already migrated the kits over to webmaker-kits. In anycase following a quick chat w/ Kat there are one or two bugs to be filed against webmaker-kits before we make any announcements about the change. We've essentially soft launched.

Bugs to file:
* One for of Kat's points above
* Moving the styles for the header background image(s) to be inline in the <head>.
* Chrome vs Firefox seems to be rendering the page a little differently on some computers (chrome version/firefox version?)
* Update the copy for the templates
