User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.2; WOW64; rv:28.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/28.0 (Beta/Release)
Build ID: 20140314220517

Steps to reproduce:

On writing email body, when I open html editor in hotmail, put image code

for ex:
<img src="http://forums.mozillazine.org/static/common/images/title2.gif" \>

and change to rich editor to see the image, it always says undefined instead of showing the picture. I have no extensions installed. I tried it on chrome and it works well. Whats wrong with it, it's only firefox problem...

Actual results:

It just says "Undefined"

Expected results:

It should have added the image
Keywords: xhtml
A lot of the information in this report is vague. It should read something like this instead:

Outlook.com - new message Edit in HTML results in "undefined"

STR
1. Log in to Outlook.com, https://www.outlook.com
2. Click the New button at the top to compose a new message.
3. Click the Options▼ button at the top and choose Edit in HTML.
4. Enter any HTML code, e.g. <h1>Hello world!</h1>
5. Click the Options▼ button at the top and choose Rich Text.

Result:
The message body shows "undefined"

Expected result:
The message body should show "Hello world!" in a larger than average font size. This is what happens in Internet Explorer 11.

In Firefox 29:

If I enter any text while the compose window is set to Rich Text, then switch to Edit in HTML, then switch back to Rich Text, the entire message is replaced with the word undefined. In other words, you do not need to do anything in the HTML editor to encounter this problem.

I found no script error in the Browser Console, and no apparent server requests in the console, either.

I suspect some condition in the script is causing the meat of it not to run, such that the HTML is not properly converted back from markup. However, I haven't gone digging.

Does anyone know the last version of Firefox that worked with this feature?
I am attempting to reproduce this bug but I do not see the options to edit in HTML or Rich Text.

Can someone please provide me with a screenshot of where these 2 options may be located?

Thank you in advance.

I can reproduce on Beta44.0b6, but not on Aurora45.0a2.

This was fixed in Aurora45.0a2 and Nightly46.0a1 by Bug 264412.
Depends on: innertext

Perfect. Thank you Alice. I will update the status of this issue. Can you please update the component?
