Enter foo in the URL bar, where foo is cnn, sun, microsoft, whatever. Mozilla
adds the www. and .com and gets there, but http://cnn would be added to the URL
bar history.

Can you retest now that bug 92132 is fixed?

Well, despite the fact that in case of proxy "sun" or "microsoft"
is not expanded to www.sun.com or www.microsoft.com at all
(but this may be feature), problem looks like fixed for me.

At least url bar history now stores exactly what was typed in.
