9988 - Imported IE 4.0 Bookmarks Badly

I was pleasantly suprised when I found that M8 apparently automagically
imported my IE4 bookmarks.  Problem is the imported IE Favorites in M8 are
bad:  They are listed with a .url appended to them.  When I select one of them,
I get the "Unknown File Type" window telling me I have started a download of
type application/x-unknown-content-type.

The Machine:  PIII 550, 128MB RAM, NT4.0 SP5
IE: 4.0, version(from help) 4.72.3612.1713, Update Version: ;SP2;3283
