Based on the new profile designs, where there is a little popcorn/thimble or xray icon next to the make to show what it was made for, there is potentially some visual redundancy if the default thumbnails for makes also still includes the icon. I think we can do better than what is there so we should take another look at the existing thumbnails. Original redpen comment that raised this issue: https://redpen.io/jhbfaw#showing-comment-331319 There’s going to be redundancy here when people have no thumbnail set. You’ll see these icons twice… Also, from what I’ve seen a LOT of makes don’t have custom thumbnails. — GVN Fri good point. i think we should rethink the default thumbnails, like we did for the default gravatar image. will file. - cassiemc
What exists is not a perfect solution, but it's not a blocker for new profile. Removing it from this sprint since I'm maxed out this quarter.
