I found this bug in M7, M8, and the build from 7/18/99, using WinNT4.00.1381:

After opening the Mozilla browser, I browsed to several webpages.  Then I wanted
to go back to www.mozilla.org, but the browser did not load the page.  In the
DOS output window the following line was outputted:

"ERRROR loading www.mozilla.org"

I tried going back to other pages, and the browser loaded them.  After more
testing, I found that the same error occurred when I attempted to browse to
websites with domain names that were equal to or less than three characters (ie:
www.w3.org, www.jmu.edu, www.wwf.com).  Whenever I tried to go back to any of
these pages, the same error message was outputted to the DOS window.

I see part of these problems but not all in m8 on win95

I was able to go back to mozilla.org but in some cases
the 3 letter domain names didn't seem to want to load...

I think we need some more testing to isolate the circumstances
around this problem..

I did some more testing with a fresh install of M8, because I noticed that the
problem persisted even after I had closed the application and started it again.
I tested the problem using the following urls:
www.mozilla.org
www.wwf.com
www.w3.com
www.w3.org
www.ign.com
www.cnn.com
www.psx.com
www.wcw.com

Of the listed urls, I was only able to return to www.cnn.com, www.psx.com, and
www.wcw.com.  However, these websites had rendering problems, where there were
no problems before, when I did return to them.  I had the same results when I
closed the application and started it again.  However, when I restarted the
whole machine, I was able to return to www.wwf.com.  The following is a
transcript of my DOS window output:

Changing all Networking Library/Browser bugs to Networking-Core component for
Browser.

Occasionally, Bugzilla will burp and cause Verified bugs to reopen when I do
this in a bulk change.  If this happens, I will fix. ;-)

this does not appear to be a problem with necko, tested all the below sites that
actually load and was able to return to them. Of course there's no cache now...

Marked resolved. Goldhr, can you verify this is fixed for you with builds from
7/30 or after?
