Details

From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:0.9.4) Gecko/20010913
BuildID: 2001091323

I have started noticing this problem when I upgraded from an 0.9.3+ build to
0.9.4 milestone. The large problem is, I cannot seem to duplicate the scenario.
In general, when I accumulate a large number of messages to be deleted, I
specify "Compact Folders" to remove these marked messages. If Mozilla has been
up and running for a long time, the entire cluster of processes crash.

Upon restarting Mozilla, I notice the "Compact Folders" operation did expunge
the messages from the IMAP server - so apparently the crash happens a bit after
the actual expunge process.

Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Select a large number of messages to be deleted.
2. Select "Compact Folders".

Actual Results: 1. Mozilla crashes.

Expected Results: 1. Mozilla expunges messages from IMAP server.
2. Mozilla refreshes the folder with current contents.
I've seen this over the last few months. It may be a dup of bug 97497.

Finally had a Talkback window open, too--most of the time Mozilla just exits
with no error output.

TB36570338Y, from Linux -sea build 2001100808.

Ever confirmed: true
reassigning to naving. This sounds like a dup, but I'll let Navin make the
final call on that.
