Summary: Readd timeout to mail compose command code → Re-add timeout to mail compose command code
Seth, please readd this. Focusing the subject and address fields even on this 2ghz machine can be unbearable. The perf win is big and the patch is small.
Keywords: nsbeta1
I'm on a 700 MHz machine on Win 2000 and there's no noticeable delay when changing focus between the addressing widget and the subject by clicking or tabbing. It's instantaneous. I don't recall seeing any delay on my 450 MHz machine either. What do I have to do to see this delay? I'm using the 3/8 build.
Hmm. Very rarely it's fast, but it's almost always noticeably slow for me. So you click back and forth between subject and address and the cursor shows up in the field right away each time?
Discussed in Mail News bug meeting with Engineering, QA, Mktng and PjM. Decision was to minus this bug.

I'm sure no-one is going to remember which timeout was removed, and even if they did, adding it back in wouldn't necessarily work with all the code changes since this bug was filed. Given there's not been any other complaints of this, closing as invalid as that seems the best option.
