Sol, can we live without this for beta2? Move back to M16 if not.

I thought we have to be feature complete by Beta2?
I care because bug 32714 depends upon this bug.

Summary: [FEATURE] Folder property dialogs → [FEATURE] UI: Folder property dialogs
Is there a spec for the mail folder property dialog? We need to be able to
change the default charset for mail/news folder. See bug 32714.
If we are doing Properties for PR2, we need to agree on what is still
in/out.

My feeling is that when properites are requested for a Mail Account/Server, News
Account/Host or Local Folders, that the Account Settings dialog with the correct
panel displayed should open. In 4.x, a properites dialog opens, but it is the
same properties dialog that users get from Prefs: Mail or News Servers: Select
a server and then click "Edit".

For Folders and Newsgroups, Properties dialogs should open. Since a lot of
features have been eliminated, we need to agree what goes on these dialogs.

Please see:

[FEATURE] bugs past M16 are OUT for this release. Marking M20. If you disagree
with this action, please help me explain it to the PDT.
Target Milestone: M17 → M20
nbaca - if we are not doing this feature, need to make sure that there is NOT a
corresponding menu item for this feature.

Is this out too?

Please do not eliminate the menu until bug 32714 is resolved.

Even if we do not implement the full spec, we still want to be able to change
the folder charset property. As a compromise, we could implement a subset.
The work is done in nhotta's local build and could be checked-in if we get
approval.
See bug 32714. The Folder Properties dialog and menu item should remain.
Mail/news won't be implementing any features for this dialog, but international
needs this dialog for character coding stuff.

Will the Folder Properties dialog be enabled? Currently this menu item is
disabled.

Bug 32714 - seems that this dlg may not be needed any longer.
- this bug per mail triage and track for a future release. I'll open a new one
to remove the menu item.

*** Bug 71128 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
Anything left here? The properties dialog is basically there and functional.
Rename capability should be in shortly, patch is attached to relevant bug. Specs
at http://www.mozilla.org/mailnews/specs/folder/ contain some very recent
enhancements that I'll likely work on implementing. Any reason to keep this one
open?
