Using Mozilla 20011217 nightly on Win2K.
Placing the /Query in a new tab was confusing to me because I had no idea how to
close the tab. At least with networks and channels I can type an irc command to
close the tab. I eventually discovered that I can right click in the view to
close it. This is nice, however, I would first attempt to close the tab by
right-clicking on the tab itself. This is more consistent with Mozilla
tabbed-browsing, which has a "close tab" context menu item.
To reproduce:
1. Join an IRC network and/or channel.
2. Right click on the tab for the network or channel
Expected results:
A context menu appears that lets you close the tab.
Actual:
No context menu appears.
It may be nice to keep terminology consistent with what's on the context menu in
the view (Leave #channel, for example), but for simplicity, I'd suggest just
using "Close Tab".
It's also a bit strange that right-clicking on a tab that is not the current one
switches to the right-clicked tab. I imagine adding a context menu would prevent
this abnormal behavior.

Btw, does closing a tab with View | Close View part from the channel, disconnect
from the server etc.?

1-Right click on a browser tab opens context menu offering an option to close
the tab. Right click a CZ tab does nothing.
2-Right click the viewport of browser and context menu offers no option to close
the tab. Right click a CZ talkport offers option to leave channel.
There is no current context menu for the tab itself, so rewording summary to
clarify what is actually described here, which amounts to a need to reconcile
inconsistent behavior between CZ and browser wrt tab context menu (browser) and
lack thereof (CZ).
Changing severity from enhancement to normal, as inconsistency amounts to defect
rather than something simply nice to have.
Platform/OS -> All.
Severity: enhancement → normal
OS: Windows 2000 → All
Hardware: PC → All
Summary: Add close tab to tab context menu → tabs are missing a context menu w/ option to close/leave the tab/view

ChatZilla 0.9.15 has a tab context menu, with Leave/Close/Disconnect on it, plus
the Open At Startup option. However, it *selectects* the tab you try to open the
context menu on, making it kind of irritating.

The chatzilla 0.9.x branch has landed on the trunk and should be available in
tomorrow's nightly build. If you believe this bug has not actually been fixed,
please repoen it.
