117640 - Incorrect Failure report when SSL=Always to port 25

Outgoing Server (SMTP) has 'Use secure connection (SSL)' = 'Always'.
A lock is shown in the ICON (send or get?).POP is also being done
over SSL
Sending a message (attempting) causes Failure popup:

"Sending of message failed
 An error occured sending the mail: Unable to 
 connect to the SMTP server..."
 
tcpdump shows, connection made, but no Client Hello being issued:

At this point the popup appears. Connection has been made. Since Mozilla
used the wrong port (smtp vs smtps) the other end is waiting for the AUTH PLAIN
line that isn't being sent. Mozilla is confused upon the authentication.
Shouldn't it be using port 465 rather than 25 for this one?

Without the SSL always, a popup is presented at this point to obtain the user
password, and all proceeds...
