Details
The Quick Search in mailnews sorts the messages in reverse order as shown by the direction triangle on the thread pane column headers. steps to reproduce the problem are: 1) load mailnews 2) select any folder containing many messages 4) for this example, let's use the date column. Click on the date column so that it's sorting descending order (newest message at the top, oldest at the bottom). 5) enter in the quick search box a text that will show multiple hits notice that the sorting is opposite of what the direction triangle indicates. You can even click on the date header column and it will sort this way still. However, if the sorting is left as default of oldest at the top, newest at the bottom (opposite of 4) above), the quick search shows correctly and clicking on the date header column will still work correctly. This is probably a very low, low priority, but a bug none the less.
