Cool, I didn't know xulplanet.com had themes. This seems very reasonable.
They've got 5 themes already.

Confirming bug.

I decided to link to their download page because that's what we currently do
with themes.org.

AFAIK this menu entry will removed but we schould point to XULplanet in the meantime
Matti: I filed bug 120374 four days ago to remove it, but Netscape is
complaining it'll be too hard for them to re-add it in their builds... boo-hoo.
I'm eventually going to be talking to drivers about all of the third-party crap
we ship with Mozilla (What's Related probably being the worst offense).
The link in Preferences is the same. Is that one going to be removed too?
Oh, grow up. I was referring to distributors in general and I was right. I'd be
happy to discuss better solutions if you've got any.
caillon: don't the "&" signs in the DTD file have to be escaped with "&" ?

Well, of course they do. Duh.	;-)

Is this going into the 0.9.8 branch?
To get into 0.9.8, you need an a=, and to get an a=, you need to send a request
by e-mail to drivers@mozilla.org.
I know all about a= and such. I was actually asking if the person who was going
to check this in was planning on getting one. I could of course send such a
request myself, but this isn't really my bug, and I'm not entirely sure someone
else hasn't already done so.
Aaron: I hadn't intended on requesting approval for 0.9.8 but it appears there
is some want for this to make 0.9.8 so I will mail drivers. It is a cool little
link and I bet users will be surprised that there really are themes out there (I
certainly was).

Taking bug to request approval.

The url :-

returned error 404 , 1 minutes before i post this.

Yes, XUL Planet is currently upgrading their server software. We noticed this
and I am holding check-in pending its return. Sorry, I thought I posted
something in this bug already.
The server upgrade has been completed. We'ar just coming back online now.
Checked into trunk. Will land on branch once that reopens for checkins.
Wouldn’t it be better to have the ‘Get New Themes’ URL link to a page that can
be maintained by Mozilla (for example something like www.mozilla.org/themes),
and put the actual theme site URLs on that page, or let that page jump forward
to xulplanet?
To "Additional Comment #21"
Yes, best idea!
Checked into branch.
