Looking at the about:cache window I saw that there are two prefs for the last
download directory and they are used for different things:
browser.download.dir (used when a download is started by clickin on a link
browser.downloaddir (use with "save page as", "save link as", "save image as")

This is because prefbranches do not insert "." in the prefname automatically.
Fix coming up.
