126153 - Disappearing entries in Address Book list

** Observed with 2002-02-15 Win32 trunk build **

I created an AdBook list and dragged about 8 names from the
Personal Address Book listing. Later after re-starting the client,
I found that some of the names were not in the list any more. Some 
entries had Last & First names empty even though they 
were there originally.

I guess things are quite unpredicatble in Adbook list with current
builds.

Can you reproduce this problem in a more recent build? When creating the list 
did you drag the addresses into a mail list dialog or did you drag the addresses 
to the list in the directory pane (left pane)? Was turbo on? You are welcome to 
show me the issue if that's more convenient.

In a new list, drag-n-drop of addresses appears to be working for Kat. I'd like 
to keep this bug open incase the problem appears again in the near future.

I have similar experiences when editing lists: entries disappear; first and last
names disappear, leaving address intact.

Dragging an address to a list appears to duplicate the entry (in 'Personal
Address Book', PAB). When I remove these duplicate entries, I also delete the
entry from my mailing list. 

The UI is confusing - entries in mailing list should be hidden, unless the list
is selected.

Steps:
1. Use addresses 'a, b and c' in PAB.
2. Create 'New List'
3. Drag 'a, b and c' from PAB to dialog 'Mailing list'
4. 'Clean up' your Personal Address Book (Because You don't like duplicates)
5. 'New List' is empty.

1. Ivan, in the latest builds the mailing list dialog is now modal so the only
way to add a card to a list is by:
- opening the mail list dialog and typing or using autocomplete to add addresses.
- creating the list, then expanding the address book in the directory pane (left
pane) so you can see the list under the address book. Select a card and
drag-n-drop it over onto the list in the directory pane.
(Note: too many problems were occuring so the dialog was made modal for now)

2. [e-mail], can you supply the exact steps you take when
creating/editing your lists so we can duplicate easily?

I have mozilla 1.0.0.2002053012
It still has problems with the address book.  Addresses appear, disappear, are
partially deleted.  Blank addresses appear and disappear.

Highlighting a sub list in the PAB shows no addresses.  Bringing up properties
shows many addresses.

I'll be happy to work with someone on teasing out when this occurs.
