Details

For a link that uses Javascript (for instance, a YouTube annotation), middle-clicking does nothing, rather than opening the link in a new tab.  Only left clicking opens the link, but that does so in the current tab.

I'd propose the following logic: the middle-click should act to Javascript like a left-click, but then when the Javascript code goes to navigate or open a new window, that action opens in a new tab because the click initiating the action was a middle-click.

(The same logic should apply to Ctrl-click.)
