I have been informed that the "barber pole" twirls in the progress meters seen
when you send email can cause epiletic fits for those who suffer from epilepsy.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a message.
2. Send message, progress bar appears.
This should be confirmed with a doctor or specialist.

This is a serious problem and this bug needs more attention.
btw, from what I read from other bug reports, <blink> also causes
problems for epiletics, yet it is on by default.

Aside from the fact that Windows is an epiletic fit, can you be more specific?

Well since I reported it, I went and did a Google search for some basic info:
http://www.epilepsy.org.uk/intro/symptoms.html
http://www.epilepsy.org.uk/info/photo.html
This web site says that some patterns of light can be a trigger, though not that
common so they say.
Beyond this, you should probably consult some doctors for information.

Under the section marked Software Packages, this paragraph appears:
"Where the material being displayed contains flicker or repetitive patterns, it
will carry the same risk whether it is viewed on CRTs, LCDs/TFTs or conventional
television."

wontfix, as in I don't plan on changing the theme.
if the barber pole is a problem with the modern theme, then I'm sure someone
could come up with a different theme.
