Platform: PowerBook G3/300/192Mb/48Gb, MacOS X 10.1.3 Fizzilla build: 2002040208 The my.replaytv.com website can only be used by those who own a replaytv (from Sonic Blue), so this obviously isn't applicable to everyone. For those that own one of these, however, and have signed up for the free my replaytv service (allows you to control a replaytv PVR thru the 'Net), here are a few problems: 1) Clicking on a show in the Replay Guide opens a new browser window showing the replay guide. Try with IE; clicking on the show name should show a pop up menu allowing you to view a description of the show and control that show on your replaytv. 2) In the Channel Guide, clicking a show opens a new window displaying the channel guide. Try with IE; what should happen is clicking on the program should display a pop-up window allowing you to record the show, etc. Those are the most glaring errors, but they really need to go over this entire site to fix it. Not that IE is much better on OS X - if I click anything in any of the pop up menus, IE crashes. At least we aren't crashing... I'm on MacOS X, so setting Mac/OSX. If others on other platforms can test this site and see that it's all/all, feel free to change. - Adam

Actually, the best way to view this site currently is with Netscape 4.7. Seems to work perfectly. - Adam

9 months later... Adam, are you still seeing this problem? Apparently you are the only ReplayTV owner who has ever submitted a bug.

Yup, still broken. my.replaytv.com only works properly with IE; doesn't work with Moz or Safari. Obviously their standards compliance needs some help. - Adam
If you would save the HTML of a broken page and attach it to this bug, it might help find the problem. Probable contact addresses are myreplaytvsupport@sonicblue.com, techsupport@replaytv.com, and http://www.expressresponse.com/cgi-bin/sonicblue01/displayEscalate.cgi?product=ReplayTV

I can confirm that the problem exists using 1.2.1 under Linux and Windows. Attached is an example page + supporting files. Clicking on a show title is supposed to bring up a menu.
Replay uses the 1999 version of Dan Steinman's dynAPI, designed for v4 browsers. They should update it. while loading the test page: Error: this.items[i].lyre.event has no properties Source File: [local copy]/ReplayTVFindShows_files/list.js Line: 167 while clicking a show title: Error: oChildLayers has no properties Source File: [local copy]/ReplayTVFindShows_files/dhtml_NS.js Line: 124

I can't stand this. Only classic (mac os 9) browsers work. IE crashes, everything else opens a 2nd window (OS X, and some X11 browsers)
