Surely we have an older bug on this?

OS: Mac System 9.x → MacOS X
This is also present on Mozilla for OS/2, 1.4 a (Mozilla/5.0 (OS/2; U; Warp 4.5; en-US; rv:1.4a) Gecko/20030401), and I've seen it on 1.3 release also. I am printing on a Hewlett-Packard Laserjet 4P (PCL) using HPs driver version 30.529, and all images with transparent background print as a solid black rectangle. Reporter (or someone else), could you please change hardware from "Mac" to "All" and OS from "Mac OS X" to "All", because clearly this bug is not linked to the Macintosh platform? Also please change the summary accordingly. I have to cross-check with the Linux version. Also, I consider this bug to be "major" and I strongly believe this has to be fixed soon. I just wanted to print a service manual and all I got was lots and lots of pages covered in black. Very expensive. Btw., is the component setting "Layout" correct? I'll leave it that way, but I think it should be "Printing".
Please don't change this to 'all'. This bug was filed about Mac, and is about Mac-specific gfx code.
But the bug appears on other platforms, too. It appears on OS/2 _exactly_ as described, event the testcase works, so some not-so-Mac-specific things are wrong.

This bug happens too on Linux. Please, change from Mac to All.
See bug 141656. That seems to be the one that covers all platforms. I suggest marking this as a dupe of that, even though this one was filed earlier.

Although this is the earlier bug, bug 202795 has a better list of "next steps" so resolving this bug as a duplicate. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 202795 ***
